A creamy, lemony, herby tahini sauce is ideal for broccoli because its gets right into the tiny florettes and coats them with its rich flavour.
What you need (for two)
Broccoli for two
A small handfull of each of flat leaf parsley and cilantro leaves finely chopped
1 crushed garlic clove
2 tablespoons sesame tahini paste
2 to 3 tablespoons water
The juice of one small lemon (more to taste)
Salt to taste
What to do
While the broccoli is steaming, in a small bowl gradually mix 2 tablespoons of tahini paste with the juice of one smal lemon. It will start to thicken.
Gradually add 2-3 Tbs water till you have the consistency of honey.
Add the crushed garlic and salt to taste.
Drain broccoli pour sauce and serve.
