This is a failsafe fruit salad dessert with a North African twist. Specifically an Algerian one and it is all about the cinnamon.
In North Africa the further west you go the more cinnamon comes into play in recipes and this simple fruit salad from that region is no exception.
Nothing much more to say about it other than it is delicious and if you tell your guests you are serving Chlada Fakya for dessert it sounds much more interesting than “Fruit Salad”.

Variation
As I write this I am thinking of adding a teaspoon of crushed cardamom seeds to the liquid and let the fruit soak it in. Haven’t tried it yet but will let you know when I do.
