Category Archives: Side Dishes

A lot of energy goes into the “main course” as it should be but usually it is the protein part that gets the attention with side dishes relegated to a support role.

I beg to differ. At home we often eat pan seared, grilled or poached dishes and it is the side dishes that often take center stage.

For example, grilled zucchinis with a safron yoghurt dressing or frekeh with raisins and toasted almonds turn a simple  grilled chicken breast into a very special dish.

So here are some ideas that are quick and easy to prepare  that will give a lift to any meal.
