After a big meal, I usually enjoy fresh fruit with the occasional dollop of something on the side like yoghurt.
I am on an orange blossom tear and just a hint of it transforms yoghurt from a breakfast favorite to a dessert in an instant. Fresh strawberries topped with caramelized balsamic vinegar completes a quick dessert that looks and tastes great.
What you need (for two)
Strawberries for two
4 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1/2cup of Greek yogurt divided
1/2 Teaspoon of orange blossom water
What to do
1 – Mix yoghurt with blossom water and prepare a bed on each plate.
2 – Slice strawberries and plate on yoghurt.
Caramelize the balsamic vinegar
3 – In a small frying pan or saucepan on a low heat; reduce 4 Tabs of balsamic vinegar for about 3 minutes. When the consistency is that of runny maple syrup and the caramelized vinegar coats a spoon it will be thick enough.
6 – Drizzle on the strawberries and serve at room temperature.
Can be prepared ahead of time.
